Original Factory Replacing Rear Hatch Lift Struts - Gas Spring End Fittings & Bracket – Tieying
Original Factory Replacing Rear Hatch Lift Struts - Gas Spring End Fittings & Bracket – Tieying Detail:
Our range of end-fittings can be used with our gas springs and M-struts. The thread on our end-fittings is a metric thread and can therefore be used for other purposes as well. Also, our selection of end-fittings usually includes stainless steel, stainless steel 316 and galvanized options. We offer a few options made in plastic. We do not recommend using these under high pressure or with traction gas springs.
Ball-joint
The ball joint is available in stainless steel (304 and 316), plastic or galvanized versions. Please note that we do not recommend using plastic fittings with traction gas springs.
Ball-socket
The ball socket is available in stainless steel (304 and 316), plastic or galvanized versions. Please note that we do not recommend using plastic fittings with traction gas springs.
Thread these ball socket end fittings onto gas springs. They rotate in any direction on a ball stud to compensate for misalignment. Ball socket end fittings require a ball stud or ball stud mounting bracket (sold separately) to mount gas springs; they have a safety clip for secure attachment.
Select end fittings with a thread size that matches the rod and end thread sizes of your gas spring. The fittings will increase your gas spring’s extended and compressed lengths, so add the Length 1 value for each fitting you attach.
Eye
The eyes come in 4 different materials: plastic, galvanized, stainless steel 304 and stainless steel 316. They are available in a wide range of dimensions/sizes. Please note that we do not recommend using plastic fittings with traction gas springs.
Clevis
Our selection of fork brackets includes both stainless steel (304 and 316) and galvanized versions. Both types are in stock ready for shipment.
Brackets – ball stud
Ball brackets are available in both galvanized and stainless steel versions. The bracket is also available with a shaft. The ball can be mounted inside, outside or in the middle of the bracket.
Brackets – Mandrel
Brackets with shafts are available in both galvanized and stainless steel versions. The bracket is also available with ball studs. The bolt can be mounted inside, outside or in the middle of the bracket.
Ball stud
Balls are available in galvanized or stainless steel. All sizes are in stock ready for shipment
Snap-On Ball Socket End Fittings for Gas Springs
These end fittings snap right on a ball stud—an integral retaining clip grips the ball stud for secure attachment until you apply enough force to pop it off.
