Easy lift murphy bed gas spring
Murphy bed gas strut working:
1. Mounting: Gas struts are installed on both sides of the Murphy bed frame, typically attached to the bed frame and the wall or cabinet structure.
2. Compressed Gas: Inside the gas strut, there's a compressed gas, often nitrogen, contained within a cylinder. This gas creates pressure, which is used to assist in lifting and holding up the bed.
3. Piston Rod: One end of the gas strut has a piston rod, which extends and retracts as the bed is raised and lowered.
4. Resistance: When you lower the Murphy bed, the gas struts provide resistance to the downward motion, making it easier to control the descent of the bed. When you raise the bed, the gas struts assist in lifting it, reducing the effort required to lift the bed into its upright position.
5. Safety: Gas struts are designed to be durable and safe. They are often equipped with features like pressure relief valves to prevent over-compression and provide consistent performance over time.
